  • Perimetry test: done by a very advanced "Humphrey visual field analyzer by Carl Zeiss Germany. This helps in assessing the function of the optic nerve & field of vision.
  • Oct test: done by the latest Cirrus HD oct by Carl Zeiss Germany this helps in assessing the structure of different layers of the retina and optical nerves .it also analyses the angle of the anterior for drainage of aqueous out of the eye.
  • Pachymetry test: to check the thickness of the cornea which helps in the exact calculation of intraocular pressure.

For the management of glaucoma, different modalities are available

  • Eye drops or tablet
  • Laser when there is a narrow passage for drainage of aqueous from the eye can lead to an attack of glaucoma. This is prevented by creating a bypass track for drainage with the help of a laser we have the latest “ND YAG LASER “by Appasamy associated.
  • Surgery: can be done to control glaucoma decisions which are usually taken by your treating doctor.
